K. Patel International (Lab Chemicals & Pharma Division)

Our office is up on the fifth floor of Eureka Tower in Mindspace, Malad West. It is a busy part of Mumbai, especially with all the office buildings around here off Link Road. We handle the lab chemicals and pharma division side of things. It’s a lot of paperwork and coordinating with suppliers to make sure the right chemicals get to the right labs on time. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the street below, which is always packed with cars. Dealing with pharmaceutical supplies means we have to be pretty careful with details. A small mistake in a catalog number can cause a lot of headaches later on, so we spend a lot of time double-checking lists. It gets quite hectic in the afternoons when the courier pickups start. We’ve got shelves full of files and samples that seem to grow every month. It’s not a glamorous job, but the pharma industry in India is huge, so there is always something to do. Most of us commute from different parts of the city, so we’re all familiar with the local train schedules. We just try to get the work done efficiently without too much fuss. It is a steady environment where everyone knows their role. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. It's just a workspace where we focus on the supply chain.
