Our office is tucked away in Mukti Chaitanya Society, 3 on Old Hanuman Lane 12, right in the middle of Masjid Bunder West. If you know this area, you know how crowded and lively it can be at any time of day. It is a real struggle sometimes just to walk down the street because of all the handcarts and people moving goods. We have been here for a good while. The space is simple and we use it to manage our chemical business. It involves a lot of coordination between the busy markets and our customers. It is definitely not a quiet job. There is always someone coming in or the phone ringing with a query. We use every bit of space we have for files and samples. The building is a bit older, but it serves its purpose for our daily operations. We usually grab tea from the stall at the corner of the lane when we need a break. Dealing with the logistics in this part of Mumbai takes a lot of patience. We have built up some good relationships with the neighbors over the years. It is a very grounded way of working. No one here wears suits or anything formal. We just dress for the heat and the physical work. It is a lot of coordinating deliveries and making sure the numbers match up. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks.
