Jyoti M is located on Subhash Road in Bhandup West, right by the Janta Market. If you have ever been to Bhandup, you know how crowded and loud the market area can be. Our office is in Meena Niwas, which is on the 17th block. It is an old building, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it gets the job done. We have been here for many years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. There is always the sound of vendors shouting and rickshaws honking right outside the window. It can be a bit distracting, but we are used to it by now. We do not have any air conditioning that works very well, so we keep the windows open mostly. It is a very local operation. Most of our visitors are people from the surrounding chawls or shops who need a bit of help with things. We do not have a website or any fancy marketing stuff. We just rely on being here every day from morning until evening. Sometimes we close early if there is a festival or if the rain gets too bad and the streets flood. It is a very typical Mumbai life. We are just trying to keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
