Jyoti Industries

Our industrial unit is based in CBD Belapur, right in Sector 8 of New Mumbai. We are actually quite close to the YMCA Boys Hostel, which serves as a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. The area is very industrial, with a lot of noise from the nearby machinery and trucks moving in and out all day. We have a small factory space where we handle our manufacturing. It’s always a bit humid here because of being in Mumbai, and the machines make the air even warmer. We don’t have a fancy office setup; it’s mostly just a corner with a desk and a computer where we keep track of the orders and the workers' hours. Most of our day is spent on the shop floor making sure the production doesn't stop. It’s greasy and loud, but it’s how we make our living. We’ve been in Belapur for a while and have seen the sector grow up around us. It used to be much quieter, but now there’s always something happening. We just stick to our routine, starting early in the morning and finishing up late in the evening when the sun goes down over the industrial park. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. We are just a local industry trying to do our part and keep things moving. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we are used to the grind by now.
