J.M.B. Impex

J.M.B. Impex is located at 48/C in the 3rd Bhoiwada area, over in Bihari Baug. It’s a tight spot, like most places in this part of town. We mostly handle imports and exports, which sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. Most of the time, we are just surrounded by boxes, paperwork, and shipping labels. Our office isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we use the room. There’s usually a stack of documents on someone’s desk waiting to be filed. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer, checking where a shipment is or why something is delayed at the port. It’s a lot of waiting and then a sudden rush when things finally arrive. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. People who need us usually know exactly where to go. We’ve got a small crew here, and we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s answering the door or checking the inventory. The neighborhood is full of other small businesses, so there’s always people moving back and forth. It can get a bit loud with the local traffic, but we are used to it by now. We just try to keep the records straight and make sure the goods get from point A to point B without too much trouble. It is hard work but it keeps us busy.
