J.H.& Sons Distributors

We are over at Gala No.3 inside the Satyam Industrial Estate. It is on the Govandi Station Road in Deonar. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know it’s always moving and a bit loud. Being in an industrial estate means there are trucks coming in and out all day long. J.H.& Sons Distributors is basically just us and a lot of boxes. We handle a lot of stuff coming through here. The space in Gala No.3 isn't huge, so we have to be careful how we stack everything. It gets pretty hot in the summer because the roof is high and the fans don't always do much. We’ve been in Deonar for a good amount of time. The road outside can be a mess when it rains, with all the puddles and the mud. We just wear our old shoes and get on with it. Most of the time we are just checking lists and making sure the right items go to the right places. It’s repetitive work but it pays the bills. There are a few other galas nearby with people doing all sorts of manufacturing. We usually eat our lunch together at the back of the warehouse. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, just an honest industrial unit. We don’t have time for fancy stuff. It is just a place where we come to get the job done.
