Jaymco Paints Ambarnath Mumbai

We are over at Jaymco Paints, which is tucked into the Purvarang Society area in Mulund East. Our spot is at number 53 and 62, right by the Tata Colony. It’s a regular neighborhood shop where things are a bit cramped because of all the paint cans we have to keep in stock. The air usually smells a bit like chemicals and fresh pigments, which is something you just get used to after a couple of days working here. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy buckets around and making sure the lids are on tight so nothing dries out in the Mumbai heat. The floor has a few splashes of color from over the years that we never really bothered to scrub off. People from the society often stop by just to ask about a certain shade they saw or to get a small tin for touch-ups. It is not a very fancy setup, just some metal shelves and a counter where we write out the bills by hand. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road in the colony, and we have to rush to move things so the neighbors can get their cars past. It’s just how things go around here. We have a small fan that stays on all day, but it mostly just moves the warm air around. We’ve been in this part of Mumbai 81 for a while now, just doing our daily work.
