Jayanti Computers

Our shop is right there at Shop No 1 on M V Road. If you are standing opposite the V in Andheri East, H Block, you can’t really miss us. We are quite close to the bus depot, so there is always a lot of noise and people rushing about outside. Jayanti Computers started because we just liked messing around with machines and fixing things that weren't working right. It’s a small space, honestly, and it gets quite dusty with all the traffic passing by on the main road. We spend most of our time hunched over desks with screwdrivers and parts scattered everywhere. It’s not a polished corporate office, it’s a working shop. Sometimes customers come in frustrated because their laptop died, and we just tell them we will see what we can do. There is no guarantee with electronics, but we try our bit. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is usually the highlight when things get stressful. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the bus depot is always the same kind of chaotic. We don't have any big speeches about technology. We just fix the stuff that comes through the door and hope it stays fixed for a long time. It’s simple work, really, and it keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down at night. Most of the time we just keep our heads down and get on with it.
