Started here at Joshi Bhavan on Poddar Road a while ago. It’s a busy spot in Malad East. Gold Garden is just nearby, so that helps people find us when they get lost looking for the building. We spend most of the day looking at screens or fixing hardware. It gets a bit dusty inside with all the fans running, but we try to keep things organized. Usually, someone walks in with a broken laptop just when we are about to close up for lunch. It happens. We’ve been in this B1 unit for quite some time now. The street outside can get really loud with the traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just the sound of clicking keys. We don’t have a big fancy office, just enough space for the work benches and some spare parts we keep in the back. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait it out, which is annoying when we have work to finish. Most people from the neighborhood know us by now. They stop by just to ask a quick question or if they need a cable. We just do what we can to help them out and keep the machines running. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy every day from morning until the evening when the street lights come on.
