Jay Manek Gift Shop

Jay Manek Gift Shop has been sitting here in the Arihant Building for quite some time now. You can find us at unit 2/234, right at the Matchli Pith Char Rasta near Lal Gate in Goregaon West. It’s just a regular shop where we keep a bit of everything that might work as a present for someone. Most days it’s just us stocking the shelves or helping a neighbor find something for a birthday party they forgot about until the last minute. The shop isn't fancy at all. There are boxes in the corners and sometimes the displays are a bit crowded, but that’s just how it is when you try to fit in so many different things. We started this because we liked the idea of having a place where people in the neighborhood could just drop by without much fuss. If you walk past Lal Gate, you’ll see our sign eventually. It is a small space but we make it work for us. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud and the dust comes in, so we spend a lot of time just cleaning the glass cases. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure things run okay every day. People come in asking for all sorts of stuff, and if we don't have it, we usually tell them where else to look. It’s a simple way to spend the day.
