Jay Equipment & Systems Pvt. Ltd. is based at 36, Vakharia Indl. Estate on Ram Mandir Road in Goregaon West. Being inside an industrial estate means there is always a lot of loading and unloading happening right outside our door. It’s a very functional environment. Our unit is basically a large workspace with some partitioned areas for the desks. We spend most of our time out on the floor where the equipment is being put together or tested. It can get quite hot in Goregaon during the summer, so we have a few big industrial fans blowing all day to keep the air moving. During the monsoon, the rain really drums on the roof and it gets quite loud. We have a team of people who have been with the company for a long time, so everyone knows exactly what needs to be done without much talking. We don't really have a fancy reception area; if you come to visit, you usually just walk right into the middle of the work. There are always parts and components sitting on pallets waiting to be moved. It’s a busy, sometimes messy place, but we keep track of everything in our own way. We like being in this part of Goregaon because it’s close to the station and easy for the staff to get to. It’s just a straightforward place where we do our daily work.
