This branch of Jawed Habib Hair Beauty Ltd is located inside Amrut Villa CHS, specifically at unit 504. It’s near Shanker Enclave in the Ashok Nagar part of Kandivali East. Being in a residential building makes it feel a bit more private and personal than a shop on the main road. You have to go through the main gate and take the lift up to the fifth floor. Inside, it’s a busy place with people getting their hair done and mirrors reflecting everything. We have those tall chairs that swivel and the smell of various shampoos and sprays is always in the air. The floor is usually covered in little bits of hair that we try to sweep up as fast as possible between visitors. We have a small waiting area with some old magazines, but most people don’t stay there long. The staff is usually chatting while they work, talking about the weather or local news. It’s not a huge salon, so it can get a bit noisy when all the hair dryers are going at once. We have a window that looks out over the neighborhood, giving us a view of the other buildings and the trees below. It’s a comfortable spot where we just focus on the hair and making sure everyone looks okay before they leave. No big corporate attitude here, just a lot of cutting and styling every day.
