Our business is situated at Block 106 on Nagdevi Street, right near Nariman Point. This part of Mumbai is famous for being incredibly busy and cramped, and our shop is no different. We are surrounded by other traders and suppliers, so there is a constant flow of carts, trucks, and people moving goods around. The air is always filled with the smell of metal and machinery. We deal in various hardware and industrial supplies, which means the shelves are packed from floor to ceiling. It can be hard to find things sometimes if you aren't used to our system. We don't have a fancy showroom or a place for people to sit and have coffee. It is a working warehouse where we spend our time counting stock and loading orders. The humidity in Mumbai can be tough, so we usually have a few fans running all day to keep things moving. We’ve been at this spot for years, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It is a tough environment but it is where we belong. We don't do much in the way of promotion because we are usually too busy filling orders for people who have been buying from us for decades. It is a straightforward operation, based on long days and a lot of heavy lifting, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
