Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd Pune

Our branch is over here in Kandivali West, specifically at Shreeji Villa on Kasturba Cross Road. Even though the name of the bank says Pune, we are the ones managing this busy branch here in Mumbai. It’s a hectic part of town, especially being so close to Bhanu Park. People are always coming and going, dropping off checks or asking about their savings accounts. The bank has been around for a long time, and this branch handles a lot of the local folks who live in the apartments nearby. It gets pretty crowded on Monday mornings and towards the end of the month when everyone is trying to sort out their finances. We have the usual counters and a few chairs for people to wait in. The staff here knows a lot of the regulars by name since they’ve been coming in for years. It’s a cooperative setup, so it feels a bit more connected to the neighborhood than those giant international banks. We deal with a lot of paperwork every day, making sure all the entries are right and the cash balances out at the end of the shift. Sometimes the lines get a bit long, but we try to keep things moving as fast as we can. The air conditioning is usually running full blast to keep the Mumbai heat out. It is just a standard local bank branch where people manage their money and we try to keep the records straight.
