Interocean Shipping Company Mumbai

We are based in Andheri East, right in Namashkar Society on Mahakali Caves Road. It's unit A 26. Being in Mumbai means there’s always a lot of noise and traffic outside, but inside the society, it’s a bit calmer. Our work involves shipping, which sounds complicated but mostly involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls to keep track of things moving across the water. We have been in this spot in Poonam Nagar for quite a while now. The office isn't much to look at, just a regular space with computers and files stacked up. We usually have the fan going because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the local tea stall and the guys downstairs. It’s a very local feel for a company that deals with stuff going all over the ocean. We don't have a corporate cafeteria or anything like that. Lunch is usually brought from home or ordered from one of the nearby places. Dealing with ships means the hours can be a bit odd sometimes depending on the time zones. We just take it as it comes. It's a steady job in a busy part of the city. If you come by Mahakali Caves Road, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s just a group of people working together in a regular Mumbai apartment that we turned into our office.
