You can find Instrument India over in Goregaon East, inside the Rocky Industrial Estate at Unit 1 41. It’s a real industrial area, so don’t expect a pretty storefront with flowers. It’s all concrete, trucks loading up, and the sound of machinery in the distance. We’ve been operating out of this unit for a long time. We deal with all sorts of industrial instruments. The office is basically just a corner of the warehouse where we have a couple of desks and a filing cabinet that’s seen better days. We spend most of our time checking stock or talking to suppliers on the phone. It gets pretty hot in Mumbai, especially in these industrial estates, so the fan is always running. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to make sure the people who buy from us get what they need without any trouble. Sometimes we’re short-staffed and things take a bit longer, but we always get it done. We don't use fancy brochures or have a professional spokesperson. If you call, you'll probably just talk to one of us who’s currently sorting through a shipment. It’s a bit dusty, and there’s always a stack of invoices waiting to be filed, but it’s our space. We’ve built a life here in Goregaon, and we’re happy just being a spot where people can get what they need for their shops.
