Our Mumbai office for Ingram Micro India Pvt Ltd is a bit unique because we are C/O Mrs Janaki Pirdankar in Marwadi Wadi. We are located in Room 22 in Parel Village, Mumbai 12. It’s not your typical corporate glass office; it is right in the heart of the village area, which has a very traditional and local feel to it. Working out of Room 22 means we are close to the daily life of Parel, with all the sounds and smells of the neighborhood coming in through the windows. We handle a lot of the technology distribution work from here, which might seem strange given the residential setting, but it works for us. We spend our days managing accounts and talking to partners across the city. The Marwadi Wadi area is tight-knit, and being at Mrs Janaki's place gives our work a more personal touch. It’s a bit of a maze to get here if you aren't used to the small lanes of Parel Village, but once you find us, it’s just a group of people working hard among the stacks of paperwork. We don't have big signs or a lobby, just a desk and a lot of focus. It is honest, local work in one of the most historic parts of Mumbai. We like the grit and the reality of being based here rather than in a boring office park.
