Infocom

Finding us at Bluestar Crystal Apartment can be a little tricky if you're not from Borivali West. We are over in the 20B, 10A section on V.P. Road, right near Sodawala Lane. It’s more of a residential-looking building, which makes it feel a bit quieter than a standard office block. Infocom has its roots here in Mumbai Suburban. The space inside is basically a converted flat, so it has a kitchen area where we keep the water filter and a few snacks. We work from the main rooms. It’s a comfortable enough spot, with enough light coming in through the windows to see what we are doing. The Maharashtra weather can get pretty humid, so the fans are always spinning. We deal with communication stuff and information systems mostly. It’s a lot of sitting and thinking or talking on the phone with people from all over the city. There is a lot of paper around, probably more than we need, but that’s just how it’s grown over the years. We aren't a huge corporation with a thousand employees. We’re just a small group trying to stay on top of the daily tasks. It’s a practical way to run a business. When the day ends, we just lock up and walk down to the lane. The neighborhood is familiar, and we’ve gotten to know the people in the other units over time.
