Indira A Varma

I’m Indira A Varma, and I work out of my place in Malad East. My address is A 16 Shreyas Apartment in the Manjub area. It’s a typical Mumbai apartment, which means space is a bit tight but we make it work. I’ve turned one part of my living area into a workspace where I handle my daily tasks. It’s nothing like a big corporate office; it’s just a desk, a chair, and my computer. Living and working in the same place has its challenges, like the sound of the neighbors’ kids playing in the hallway or the TV from next door, but it also means I don’t have to deal with the local train commute every single day. Shreyas Apartment is an older building, so it has a lot of character. I’ve been here for a while now, and I like the familiar feel of the neighborhood. There’s a small balcony where I can see the street below, which is always busy with people heading to the station. I spend my hours doing various professional tasks, though I like to keep things low-key. It’s just me here, so I don’t have meetings or big groups of people coming in. It’s a quiet, independent way of getting through the work week without any of the usual office politics or loud noise. Just an honest day’s work from a corner of my home in Malad.
