Indai Book Distributors Bombay Ltd

Indai Book Distributors Bombay Ltd is based in Kalyan East, specifically in the Centralite Co-operative Housing Society on Tisgaon Road. We are in unit 1 1. It’s a bit of a distance from the main Bombay city center, but Kalyan is a huge hub for us. Our space is basically filled with books from floor to ceiling. You can smell the paper and ink as soon as you walk in. We aren't a bookstore where people browse; we are a distribution point, so it’s mostly about packing boxes and checking invoices. The housing society is a busy place with families and kids playing around, so our work blends in with the daily life of the building. We’ve been here for quite some time, moving books to different parts of the region. It’s hard work, lifting heavy boxes and making sure nothing gets damaged in the monsoon rain. We have a small crew and we all pitch in with the loading and unloading. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow road, but we make it work. We don't have a corporate office culture. It’s more like a workshop feel. We just focus on getting the right books to the right people. It is a simple business, and we like the routine of it. We keep our heads down and stay busy.
