Income Tax Dept

Our place is over in Goregaon East, specifically at A303 in the New Income Tax Colony. It is right on Film City Road, which as anyone in Mumbai knows, can get pretty backed up with cars and rickshaws at almost any time of day. This is the office of Jagadish Prasad Jangid. It is a typical government colony setup. The buildings are all pretty similar, but we have made our space functional for the tax work we do. We handle a lot of different files and records for the department here. It is not the kind of place where you will find fancy decorations. It is more about the stacks of paper and the computers. Being in the 400063 area, we are quite close to a lot of the action in Mumbai, but once you step inside the colony, it is a bit quieter. We have people coming in with their tax problems or just needing to submit documents. We try to keep things straightforward. No one really likes dealing with taxes, so we just focus on the facts and the figures. The elevators in the building are sometimes a bit slow, so a lot of us just take the stairs. It is a regular job for us. We have seen many monsoon seasons come and go from these windows. It is just a part of the local fabric of Goregaon. We work through the day and try to stay on top of the ever-changing rules.
