Incentive Exports

Incentive Exports is located in the Thacker Industrial Estate, specifically at 4-C, N. M. Joshi Marg in Lower Parel (E). Working in an industrial estate is a bit different than a regular office building. There is always the sound of machinery or trucks loading and unloading nearby. Our unit is a bit of a walk from the main gate, but it’s a good way to start the day. The space inside is very functional. We have high ceilings and a lot of floor space for all the goods that come through here. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a lounge or a fancy reception area. We have some metal desks and a lot of shelving. The lighting is mostly fluorescent, which isn't the prettiest, but it helps us see what we are doing. Lower Parel has changed so much with all the new malls, but this estate still feels like the old Mumbai. We usually get tea from the vendor who walks around with a kettle in the afternoons. It’s a hardworking atmosphere where everyone is focused on getting the shipments out on time. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to put a bucket there. It’s a real, grit-and-grind kind of place. We just show up, do the work, and make sure things are moving.
