Our office is in the Charkop area, specifically at the BCD Government Industrial Estate in Kandivali West. It’s called IEEC House. We work on power electronics, which is a lot of circuit boards and components. It’s a bit different from the heavy machine shops nearby. We have to keep things a bit cleaner because of the electronics. We’ve been in this building for years. The stairs are a bit steep and the elevator is old, but it gets us to work. We spend a lot of time testing things. You’ll see wires and testing meters all over the benches. It isn't a showroom. It’s where we actually build and test the stuff. We have a small team of technicians who know their way around a soldering iron. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make electronic units that work. When the monsoon hits, the Charkop area can get a bit flooded, but we still make it in. It’s a quiet enough place during the day, mostly just the hum of the cooling fans and people talking over schematics. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, making sure the power units are solid before they leave the estate. Sometimes the tea break is the best part of the day. We don’t have a fancy website guy, so what you see is what you get with us. Just electronics and hard work. We usually finish the day by double-checking the logbooks and turning off the test rigs.
