Icici Lombard

Our office is situated in Malvani, Malad, right in the thick of things in Mumbai 400095. Icici Lombard here is a busy place, but not in a flashy way. It’s more about the constant stream of people and the never-ending piles of paper. Being in Malad means we’re always hearing the sounds of the city, from the traffic to the vendors outside. Inside, we have rows of desks and old computers that hum all day long. The ceiling fans spin constantly to keep the air moving, but it still gets quite warm when the office is full. We handle a lot of insurance queries and claims, so there’s a lot of talking on the phone and typing. It’s a very functional space. We don't have fancy art on the walls or a lounge for employees. Most of us commute a long way on the local trains to get here, so the first thing we do is grab a tea and settle into the routine. There’s a certain rhythm to the work, checking forms and verifying details over and over. It can be a bit tedious, but we have a good group of people who make it better. We know the regular visitors who come in to pay their premiums or ask questions about their policies. It’s a bit cramped and the files are taking over the shelves, but it’s where we do our daily work.
