In the busy streets of Mumbai, you can find us over in Mahim East. Our exact spot is Flat Number 28 on the fourth floor of building 9 B in Dr Baliga Nagar. It is located on Jasmine Mill Road. Most people know the place as being under the care of Ismail Y Shaikh. There isn't an elevator in this building, so we get plenty of steps in every single day. Being in Mahim means there is a constant soundtrack of city life coming through the windows. We’ve been working from this flat for quite a long time. It’s a residential block, so it doesn't feel like those cold, glass offices you see in the city center. We have a few desks crammed into the rooms and wires running across the floor in some spots. It might look a little cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where every document is kept. The zip code here is 400017. New visitors sometimes find the layout of the streets a bit confusing. That is just part of the Mumbai experience. We spend our hours on the phone or checking data on our screens. The afternoons get pretty warm, so we keep the fans going at full speed. There are only a few of us here making sure the Germinesher Lloyd work gets handled properly. It is a very basic, no-nonsense setup on the fourth floor.
