Our Icici Home Finance office is situated at E 1 8 in the Best Staff Colony. We are on Anil Ubhare Marg in Pant Nagar, right near the Ghatkopar Depot in Ghatkopar East. Being so close to the bus depot means the area is always moving. There are buses coming and going at all hours, and the streets are filled with commuters. It is a busy, working-class part of Mumbai. Our office is inside the colony, so it has a bit of a different feel than a main road shop. It is a bit quieter once you get inside the gates, but you can still hear the city outside. We have a modest space where we keep all our records and computers. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know the routine by heart. We get a lot of people from the colony and the surrounding Pant Nagar area coming in to ask about their papers. We do not have any fancy furniture; it is just practical stuff that gets the job done. Sometimes we have to move boxes around to make room for more files. We spend our lunch breaks at the local stalls near the depot. It is just a regular job in a busy part of the city. We focus on the details of the finance work and try to keep things organized despite the chaos of the city around us. It is just us, doing our daily tasks.
