We are located at A 106 in the Akruti building, which is in the Saiwadi area of Andheri East. This part of Mumbai is always full of energy and noise. The building is a functional one, and our office is just one of many small units inside. We have a few desks squeezed into the space where we handle the bank’s daily paperwork and digital entries. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is busy, which happens often during the morning rush. The room is filled with the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional ring of the telephone. We don't have a lot of space for extra things, so we keep our personal belongings under our desks. Outside the window, you can see other office blocks and the tops of rickshaws moving through the crowded streets. We usually get our lunch from one of the small shops nearby or bring it from home in tiffin carriers. The work is mostly routine, focused on making sure all the accounts are balanced by the end of the shift. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the walls a bit damp, but we just carry on with our tasks. It’s a very real, hardworking atmosphere here. We aren't interested in being flashy or corporate. We are just a local team doing the necessary work in a busy corner of Mumbai. The neighborhood feels familiar, and we enjoy being part of the daily hustle.
