Our office is right in the middle of Parel, which anyone from Mumbai knows is a busy place to be. We are located at Manish Vijay Patil’s spot, specifically 1/310 in the Bhoiwada Gaon Transit Camp. It is off S. Ghadi Bua Marg, inside the T. S. Compound. Parel can be quite crowded, especially during peak hours, but it keeps us on our toes. The building is one of those old-school Mumbai structures where everyone knows their neighbors. We have been here for a bit now, just managing our daily work from this small space. Getting here involves navigating through the narrow lanes of the compound, but that is just part of living and working in this city. We don't have any flashy lobby or a big receptionist desk. It is just a group of us in a room with our computers. We try to stay focused on what needs to get done every day. Sometimes the noise from the street comes in, but you get used to it after a week or two. It feels like a very real part of the community here. Most of the people around us are also small business owners or families who have lived in the transit camp for years. We do our thing, they do theirs, and the day passes by pretty fast. The address can be a bit tricky for delivery drivers to find the first time, but they usually figure it out.
