Hydrafold Presses Mfg. Co.

You can find us on the third floor of Bharat House. It’s an old building on Bombay Samachar Marg in the Fort area. There’s a lot of history in these walls, and the elevators are sometimes a bit slow, so many of us just take the stairs. Hydrafold Presses Mfg. Co. has been based here for a while. We do most of the planning and paperwork from this office, even though the heavy manufacturing happens elsewhere or involves a lot of site visits. Being in Fort means we’re surrounded by other old businesses and banks. It’s a busy part of the city. Our office is filled with blueprints, old files, and coffee mugs. We don’t have fancy glass partitions or anything. It’s just desks and people working on press designs. We deal with hydraulic machinery and folding systems, which is pretty technical stuff. Customers come by to discuss their requirements, and we sit down with them to figure out the specs. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of projects going on at once. Sometimes the street noise from outside is loud, but you get used to it. We keep things pretty straightforward here. We aren’t into big corporate meetings or things like that. We just want to make sure the machines we design actually work the way they’re supposed to for the people using them. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next project.
