Hutch

You can find us at Room No 11 on the 3rd floor of the Naval Boys Hostel. It’s in Old Navy Nagar, right across from the INCS Canteen in Colaba. Being on the third floor means a lot of stairs, but it keeps the noise from the street down a little bit. We’ve been set up here in Mumbai 400005 for a while, mostly helping out the guys in the hostel and the people living nearby. It’s a small room, nothing fancy at all. We have a desk, a couple of chairs, and our computers. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch any breeze from the coast. Since we’re right near the canteen, we usually see a lot of the same faces every day. We don’t have any big posters or neon signs. People just know we’re in Room 11. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do. We help with connections and mobile issues without making a big deal out of it. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and wait for the next person to walk in. Other times, three people show up at once and it gets a bit cramped. We just handle it as it comes. It’s a simple way to run things, and it works for us and the people in the neighborhood. We just do the work.
