Hindustan Computer

You can find Hindustan Computer at B-243 in the 1st stage of Andheri East. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. The shop is full of parts, old monitors, and tools. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where we work best. People bring in their computers when they stop working or when they get too slow to use. We open them up, look inside, and see what can be salvaged. Sometimes it’s just a lot of dust, other times something has actually burnt out. We don’t promise miracles. We just tell people what is wrong and if it’s worth fixing. We’ve seen all kinds of machines over the years, from really old ones to the newest models. We like the hands-on part of the job. Dealing with hardware is better than just sitting at a desk all day. The street outside is always busy with traffic and people going to work. We usually have the door open to get some air, so we hear everything. It’s a noisy, busy place, but it feels like home to us. We don’t have any big goals of expanding. We just want to keep the shop running and help the people who come in. It’s a simple business. We close for lunch for an hour, then stay open until late evening. It is just how we have always done things here.
