Hillset Technologies Private Limited operates out of Unit-30 in the Aarey Milk Colony area of Goregaon East. We are part of the Sahayog Society, which is tucked away in a bit of a greener spot compared to the rest of the busy city. Working in Aarey is different because you see more trees and sometimes even cows wandering around near the milk colony units. It gets very quiet here in the evenings, which is nice after a long day of staring at screens. Our office is a simple setup where a few of us gather to work on tech stuff. The commute to Goregaon East can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic on the Western Express Highway, but once you get inside the colony, things calm down a lot. We have a basic room with enough space for our desks and a small corner for making tea or coffee. It is not a polished corporate floor in a glass building. Instead, it is a practical space in a society where people actually live and go about their business. We know the security guards and the folks at the local stalls nearby. Sometimes the rain in the monsoon makes the paths a bit muddy and difficult, but the air feels fresher here than in the city center. We spend our days mostly trying to figure out technical problems. It is a quiet existence, and we like that we are not in the middle of a noisy industrial estate.
