This office is up on the fifth floor of the Aakanksha Building in Goregaon West. We are in the B Wing, flat 502. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens once in a while. From here, we look out over Vasari Hill Road. It's a busy part of Mumbai. Our official name on the door says Hewlett Packard India Sales Pvt Ltdhp Compaq, which is quite a mouthful for a small office. The space isn't very big. It’s mostly desks squeezed together and lots of cables running along the floor. We try to keep it tidy but with all the paperwork, it’s a challenge. It feels more like a home office than a corporate space. We’ve been here for some time now. We know the security guards downstairs and the tea stall nearby. We just do our daily tasks, checking orders and talking to clients on the phone. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic noise coming up from the street. We don't have any fancy signs or a big reception area. You just knock on the door of 502. We’re just a group of people working together to keep the sales moving. It’s honest work. We don't spend much time on fancy meetings. We just get the reports done and make sure everything is logged correctly. Mumbai is a tough city but we’ve found our rhythm in this little corner of Goregaon.
