Helicraft Charters

Helicraft Charters operates out of a flat in Jogeshwari West. Specifically, we’re in Flat No 304 in Building No 8, over in the Behramb area. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. We aren’t located at a big airport or in one of those shiny glass buildings downtown. Most of our actual work is done from this small, lived-in space, coordinating various flights and talking to pilots or clients on the telephone. Jogeshwari is a very crowded and lively place, so it’s always quite noisy outside with the traffic and the local markets going on. Inside our office, it’s just a few simple desks and a lot of maps and flight schedules pinned up on the walls. We spend a massive amount of our time checking weather reports and making sure the timings are exactly right for the charters. It takes a lot of careful coordination to get things moving. People might expect a charter company to be all flashy and high-end, but we’re just regular folks making sure the logistics side of things works out. We don’t have a receptionist or anything formal like that. If you decide to come by, you’ll probably just see us drinking some tea and staring intently at our computer screens. We’ve been in this building for quite a bit now and all the neighbors know who we are. It’s a very practical setup for what we need to get done. We handle the bookings and all the boring paperwork so the planes can actually get into the air. It's just a small, focused operation in a very busy part of Mumbai.
