You can find us at the Marigold Co-Op Housing Society on the New Link Road in Malad West. Being in a housing society gives this branch a different feel than if we were in a big commercial mall. It feels like we are part of the building. The Link Road is always busy, no matter what time it is, and we can hear the hum of the traffic all day long. During the monsoon, things get a bit messy outside with the puddles and the wind, but inside it stays dry enough. We get a lot of residents from Marigold and the surrounding buildings just popping in because they were passing by. It is a compact space, so we all know each other’s business a bit too well sometimes. We do not have a flashy entrance with lights, just a simple door and a sign. The staff here has been around for a while, so we know who likes to complain about the wait and who just wants to get their passbook updated quickly. It is a typical Malad life—rushed but somehow everyone finds time to talk for a second. We try to keep the lines moving, but sometimes the systems are slow or we get a complicated case that takes time. It is just a regular workplace where we deal with the daily grind of Mumbai life alongside our neighbors. We are just 1 Marigold, tucked into the neighborhood fabric.
