Bazaar Gate is one of those parts of Mumbai that never seems to go quiet. Our office is at 205 Narayan Bhawan, right on Perin Nariman Street in Fort. If you’ve ever walked these streets, you know how narrow and crowded they get with shoppers and deliveries. Hawk Enterprises is tucked away on the second floor. The building is old, with the kind of character you only find in the Fort area. We have high windows and creaky doors that have seen a lot of years. Inside, it’s mostly just us working at our desks, surrounded by paperwork and old metal cabinets. It isn't a modern glass office. We have peeling paint in the corners and some boxes that have been sitting there for months. But it’s a good place to work. You can hear the sounds of the market downstairs all day long—people haggling, bells ringing, and the occasional motorbike squeezing past. We mostly deal with small business stuff and general trade. It’s the kind of work where you’re always on the phone or writing something down on a pad. We don't have a website or a big sign outside. Most people find us because they know the street or someone told them where Narayan Bhawan is. It’s honest work in a very old, very busy part of the city. We take our lunch breaks in the small lanes nearby and then get back to the files.
