Finding us isn't always easy if you aren't used to the narrow, winding streets around Masjid Bunder West. We’re up on the second floor of number 81 on Narayan Dhuru Street. It’s an old building, the kind that has seen a lot of history and seen many businesses come and go. Being near the Bombay Cotton Mill on Dattaram Lad Marg means there's always something moving nearby. There are trucks loading, people carrying heavy bundles, and a lot of noise from the street. Hastagiri Enterprise is right in the thick of all that action. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, and if it’s a hot day, you’ll definitely feel it by the time you reach us on the second floor. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations inside. Mostly, it’s just sturdy shelves, old files, and the stuff we manage daily. It’s a bit dusty because of all the construction and the age of the walls, but we keep our corner as clean as we can. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. You see the same faces every morning at the tea stall downstairs. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings. We just talk to people, figure out what they need, and see if we can help them out. The phone rings a lot, and someone is usually shouting something across the room to get a point across. It’s a busy, cramped, and loud place, but it’s where we belong.
