If you head over to Lower Parel East, you’ll find us at 221 Pragati Industrial Estate. We are right on N.M. Joshi Marg, which is always packed with trucks and taxis. Hariwill Creations is situated in the middle of all that industrial energy. The building is one of those old Mumbai estates where you can hear the sounds of other businesses through the walls. It’s a bit of a maze getting to unit 221, but once you’re inside, it’s our own world. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and boxes every single day. The dust from the road is a constant battle, but that’s just life in Lower Parel. We’ve been here since before the area got all these fancy malls and glass towers. To us, it’s still the same old working-class neighborhood. Our space is filled with the smell of material and the sound of packing tape. It’s not a place for a fancy meeting, but it’s where the real work happens. We eat our lunch together on the big table in the center. The lift in the building is old and slow, so we usually just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy environment, but it suits us. We’ve got a system that works, even if it looks like chaos to someone else. Just another day on N.M. Joshi Marg.
