We’re located in Shop No 106 of the Joshi Building in Masjid Bunder West. It’s an old part of the city and things can get pretty cramped around here, especially with L B S Marg nearby. Our family has been running this for a while now. It’s a traditional setup. We don't have any flashy signs or modern glass fronts. Inside the Joshi Building, it feels like time hasn't changed much in decades. We deal with various goods, mostly wholesale stuff that comes through the port and the local markets. Boxes are stacked almost to the ceiling sometimes. It’s a lot of inventory to keep track of. We use old ledgers mostly, though we have a computer for the basic things now. The stairs up to the shop are a bit steep and the hallways are narrow. It’s just the way these old buildings are. We know most of the other shopkeepers in the area. We spend our days talking to suppliers and customers who have been coming to us for years. It’s not a glamorous job at all. It involves a lot of counting, checking orders, and moving crates around. Sometimes the weather makes the building damp, but we just keep the fans going. It’s a steady business. We aren't trying to expand into some giant empire. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has for the sons.
