If you have ever been down to Masjid Bunder, you know how crowded and busy the lanes can be. That is where G.Vithaldas & Company is, specifically at 42, Nagdevi Cross Lane. We have been in this same spot for many years now, surrounded by all the other hardware and tool shops in the area. It is a tight space inside, but we have managed to fit everything we need into it. Most of the people who come to see us are looking for specific parts or tools that they cannot find in the regular stores. The street outside is always full of carts and people moving boxes around, so it is never really quiet. We spend our days going through our stock and helping the customers who walk in. It involves a lot of manual work, like lifting heavy boxes and making sure we know exactly what we have on the shelves. We do not have a showroom or anything like that. It is a traditional setup where things might look a bit cluttered, but we know where every single item is kept. People in the lane know us because we have been around for such a long time. We work with all kinds of people, from small local workers to bigger companies. Everyone is just looking for the right tool for their job. We stay busy from the time we open until the shutters go down.
