Grey Matter

Grey Matter is tucked away at Vile Parle West Chickpet Cross G-2. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the turns, but we like the spot. It stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads. We spend our days dealing with various projects that come across our desks. There’s no big sign out front, just a small one near the entrance. Most of the time, the office is filled with the sound of clicking keys and the occasional argument over where to order food from. We have some plants on the windowsills that are barely clinging to life, mostly because we forget to water them. Our work keeps us busy enough that the hours usually fly by before we realize it’s dark outside. We don’t have a fancy dress code or anything like that. People show up in whatever is comfortable. The air conditioning is a bit temperamental, so it’s either freezing or slightly too warm. We’ve got a whiteboard covered in scribbles that don’t make much sense to anyone but us. It’s a practical space for practical work. We’ve been at this location for a bit now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. Sometimes the local kids play cricket right outside the window. We just keep our heads down and focus on the code or the designs we’re supposed to finish. It’s not a glamorous life, but it works for us.
