If you find yourself in Vile Parle East, you might walk right past us without noticing. We are located at number 3, and it’s a pretty modest setup. The neighborhood is always alive with people going to the station or getting snacks at the local stalls. Inside our office, things are usually a bit cluttered. We have piles of records and pages everywhere, hence the name, I suppose. We spend most of our time organizing information and making sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s not the kind of work that makes for exciting stories at dinner, but it’s what we do. We don't have those fancy glass walls or expensive chairs you see in the movies. Our chairs are a bit squeaky and the desks have seen better days. We just focus on the task at hand. Usually, that means looking through lists or updating files for hours on end. Sometimes we lose track of time because there is always one more page to check. We try to be careful with our work because even a small mistake can cause a headache later. It’s just the three of us most days, swapping stories and working through the stack of folders on the table. We like the pace here in Vile Parle. It feels like a real community where everyone is just trying to make a living.
