Grant House Restaurant

Grant House Restaurant is located right opposite the Palton Road Police Station. We are on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road, which is a very old and busy part of the city. Being next to Haj House means there are always groups of people moving around outside. The restaurant has been in this spot for a long time. The floors are a bit worn down from all the footsteps over the years, but we like it that way. It has character. We have a few ceiling fans that stay on all day to keep the air moving. The noise from the street is constant—horns, people shouting, and the sound of buses. It’s a real Mumbai experience. My staff knows many of the customers by name because they have been coming here for decades. We don't have a fancy menu with photos; it's just a simple list of what we have. The kitchen starts working early in the morning to get the basics ready. We don't do any big advertising or social media stuff. People find us because we are right there on the main road. It’s a small, cramped space sometimes when it’s raining outside, but it’s home to us. We keep the doors open and the tea hot for whoever stops by.
