Govt Of Orissa

It might seem a bit strange, but our Govt of Orissa office is actually located in Malad East, Mumbai. We are in Satyam 3, which is part of the Raheja Complex. Being right next to the Western Express Highway means there is always the sound of cars and trucks in the background. We are in room 301 on the third floor. It’s a small office space, and we have to be very careful about where we put things so we don’t run out of room. We deal with various coordination tasks for people from Orissa who are living here in the city. Mumbai is a busy place, and our office is no different. There are always people coming in with forms and questions. We don’t have a big budget for decor, so it’s just plain walls and functional furniture. We don't use any marketing speak or corporate jargon. We just tell people what they need to bring and help them fill out the paperwork. The building has a lift, but it’s often full, so we get our exercise on the stairs. Lunch is usually a quick bite from a nearby stall. We stay busy from morning until evening. It’s a lot of administrative work, but it’s important for the people we serve. We just try to keep things organized and get through the pile of files on our desks. It’s a bit of a squeeze but we make it work every single day that we are here.
