We are over in Sakinaka, up on the third floor in room 307. It’s one of those buildings that always feels a bit busy, no matter what time it is. Getting up to the third floor is a bit of a workout if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Inside, it’s just a bunch of us working on various business things. We have rows of desks and a lot of wires running along the floor for the computers. It’s not the quietest office because Sakinaka is quite loud outside. You can hear the sirens and the constant hum of the city. We’ve got some old fans that rattle a bit when they’re on high, but they keep us cool enough. There’s a small area where we keep our lunch boxes. Most days we just sit and work through the files. We don't do much in the way of decorating. There are some old calendars on the wall and a few plants that someone forgets to water. It’s a practical space. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a lobby or anything like that. We just come in, do our jobs, and deal with the paperwork. The light is okay in the afternoons when it hits the windows. It’s a long day, but we get through it together. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big project, but mostly we head out as soon as we can to beat the traffic. It's a crowded building but we've got our own little corner.
