Gokuldham Pure Veg Restaurant

Gokuldham Pure Veg Restaurant is tucked into Kanji Mansion over on S V P Road. We’re in the Khetwadi-girgaon area, which is a really busy part of Mumbai. If you know where Lankar Theater is, we’re just near there. It’s one of those parts of the city that never really stops moving. Kanji Mansion is an old building, and it has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn down in places. We’ve been serving vegetarian food here for quite a while now. The kitchen gets really hot, especially in the afternoons, but we’re used to it. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or anything, just a few fans that do their best. Most of our customers are people who work in the shops around Khetwadi or live in the nearby buildings. It’s a pure veg place, so we’re careful about how we handle everything. Mumbai life is fast, and people usually want to eat quickly and get back to their day. We don’t spend much on decorations because, honestly, there isn’t much room for them in here. We just have the tables and chairs and enough space for people to sit comfortably. You can hear the sounds of S V P Road from the front door—honking cars and people shouting. It’s loud, but it’s home. We just do our work, cook the food, and make sure the place is clean for the next morning.
