You can find us at the Gupta Estate near Reay Road. We are right by the Tulsiram Mills in Darukhana, just next to where Britannia is. This part of town is very industrial and old. There’s a lot of history in these buildings. Our space is filled with tins, drums, and the smell of solvents. It’s a paint business, so things tend to get colorful, but mostly it’s just work. We’ve been at this location for years. The walls have seen a lot of coats of paint themselves. It’s a busy area with trucks moving in and out of the estate all day long. We spend our time mixing batches and checking the consistency of what we make. It’s not a clean job; we usually have spots of paint on our clothes by noon. We don’t have a fancy office upstairs. We just work on the ground floor where it’s easier to move the heavy drums. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the rain makes the old roof leak a bit, so we have to move the stock around. It’s just part of being in an older building like this. We know the other business owners around Darukhana well. It’s a tight-knit place despite all the noise and dust. We just keep making our paints and getting them ready for the workers who need them. It's a long day, but we've gotten used to the rhythm.
