Our location is over at Plot No.68, Street No.13/16 in the M.I.D.C. area of Andheri East. It’s a very industrial neighborhood, lots of trucks and big gates. This isn't a place where people just wander in off the street. We’re in a large building that’s more about production than showing off. Inside, it’s all very practical. We have rows of workstations and a lot of bright lights because you need to see what you’re doing. There is always the sound of machinery or people talking in the background. We’ve been operating out of this MIDC plot for quite a while. The commute can be a bit of a nightmare with the Mumbai traffic, so we all tend to arrive at different times. We have a small canteen where we eat lunch, usually talking about the cricket score or stuff like that. We handle a lot of volume here, so there’s always a sense of being busy. It’s not like a small boutique. It’s a place where work actually happens. We have plenty of paperwork and security checks because that’s just the nature of the business. It’s a bit grey and concrete outside, but inside we’re focused on the jewelry. We don’t put on any acts. We just show up, do the shifts, and keep the wheels turning until it's time to go home.
