Being on the first floor of the D2 Block in Chinch Masjid isn’t always the easiest for people to find us the first time they visit. You have to come up to room 302 or 304. It’s a busy building with lots of noise and people moving stuff around all the time. Down in the masjid area, the streets are always narrow and full of handcarts, so getting our new deliveries in is a bit of a headache every single time. We’ve had this space for a good bit now. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms filled with different styles of items. We don’t really do a lot of advertising because most people just hear about us from their neighbors or other shopkeepers in the market. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy unpacking crates to worry about that. In the afternoons, it gets quite warm, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast. We mostly deal with people who want a bunch of things for a party or maybe just one nice item for a wedding. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of boxes reaching almost to the ceiling. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in for the first time. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to climb the stairs. It is just a regular workplace for us.
