Gemini Studio Digital Academy

Up on the fifth floor of the Surbhi building in Jankalyan Nagar, you will find our academy. We are over in Malad West, which is a busy part of Mumbai to be in. The studio is not huge, but we have packed it with enough gear to teach people about the digital world. We have classes running most days, and it gets pretty full with students. You will usually see someone editing a video or playing around with graphics on one of the monitors. We started this because we liked the work and thought others might want to learn it too. It is not a stiff school environment. It is more like a workshop where people can ask questions and try things out. We deal with all the usual problems like software crashes or forgotten passwords. The lift in the building can be slow sometimes, so we tell everyone to come a few minutes early. We are not a big institution with thousands of graduates. We are just a local studio in Malad trying to pass on some practical skills. Some days are quiet and we just spend time updating our own projects, but usually, there is a lot of talking and clicking going on. We keep things simple and try to make sure everyone who comes through our door leaves knowing a bit more than they did before. It is just a regular place to learn.
